People have been joking for years that it must be so hard for Corrado to top all the proposals I’ve seen. Little did I know, he would trick me into shooting my own proposal photos at one of my favorite places: on top of a mountain. There was a rare once-in-a-lifetime sunrise eclipse that morning, so we decided to go on a hike to see the sunrise and have one of our usual mountaintop photoshoots. I set up my camera on a tripod, started the self-timer, ran into my spot, then Corrado dropped down on one knee and proposed, capturing it all on camera. I honestly couldn’t think of a more memorable or perfectly “us” proposal. Oh, and he proposed with three different [returnable] rings so I could decide exactly which options I liked before buying the “forever ring”. (Great job, Corrado!)

We all know that the IRS just loves throwing a wrench in our tax filing systems. Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news… but it’s not actually that bad (just a change in paperwork): If you hired any independent contractors throughout the year (second shooters, assistants, etc) that earned $600+, you used to have to […]

Audio is such an important component of a wedding film – it’s literally half of the final product! I dedicate a large amount of time during post production to selecting music that sets the right mood and matches with the visuals. I put a lot of thought into piecing together audio from the reception speeches […]

In only three & a half weeks, Samantha & Bryce planned the most cozy & magical backyard wedding in Bryce’s parents’ backyard. They got married under a chuppah made out of pieces of Bryce’s old swingset in the backyard of his childhood home – does it get any more sentimental than that?? Photo & Video: […]

The circumstances on Alyssa & Richie’s wedding day were “very 2020.” On top of being in the middle of a global pandemic, it rained the entire day, the bridge nearby was closed so the bride had to take a detour and arrived late, and they forgot to bring their marriage license. But everything worked out in the […]

The invention of Pinterest & Tik Tok has been both a blessing and a curse for wedding planning: it has provided an endless supply of inspiration and resources, yet it has created a tendency to copy rather than create, which tends to stifle true innovation. As a self-admitted perfectionist and overly obsessive planner, I […]

Market shifts are inevitable. Whether it’s a recession or natural disaster or health crisis, our small businesses will always be tested, it just so happens that this COVID-19 crisis directly impacts the event industry and wedding professionals are being hit extra hard. On March 15th, the CDC recommended cancelling (or hopefully postponing) any gatherings with 50+ attendees for 8 […]
