Pretty blush pinks, tons of greenery, views of the Hudson River, and spontaneous tears of joy all day long – check out Kristen & Michael’s beautiful Hudson Valley wedding at The Grandview in Poughkeepsie!

The girls got ready in the nearby Grand Hotel, with views of the Mid-Hudson Bridge right outside their window.

How great are this flower girl’s personalized shades?! And those gold sneakers!!

Meanwhile, the guys got ready a few floors below before heading over to the Grandview to take some portraits while waiting for the girls.

After the girls were finished getting ready, they all headed over the Grandview where Kristen got into her gorgeous Justin Alexander ball gown. I love the lacey, voluminous, tiered skirt!

Kristen & Michael had a unique request for their first look – with their bridal party looking on, Michael read his letter from Kristen right before he turned around to see his beautiful bride for the first time.

You’d be hard-pressed to find a more emotive, loving, heart-on-their-sleeve group of people than Kristen & Michael’s family & friends. It’s clear that all their guests were eager to celebrate Kristen & Michael’s love and super supportive of their marriage. Before the ceremony even started, multiple family members broke down in tears of joy while we were taking portraits!

As guests arrived for the ceremony, they were handed programs by pint-sized ushers and took their seats in the ceremony space overlooking the Hudson River.

Michael had the sweetest reaction to seeing his bride come down the aisle!

Kristen & Michael honored their mothers with a surprise rose presentation during the ceremony.

Their reception was held under the beautiful open-air tent at the Grandview.

After sharing a first dance as husband & wife, they each shared a dance their mothers, followed by heartfelt speeches from their sister & brother.

As the sun was setting, we went back outside to take some more portraits with the newlyweds and their bridal party.

The party continued under the tent with more delicious food, dancing, and drinking.

Kristen & Michael fed each other bites of their wedding cupcakes, their unique take on a wedding cake. Guests were invited to enjoy sweets, treats, and cigars before heading home from an unforgettable night.
