It was such a pleasure photographing Brigid & Dan’s glowing smiles and working with their roll-with-the-punches spirit at their spring wedding at Paramount Country Club.

Paramount holds a special place in my heart because it’s where I got married back in October 2022! During the planning process, it became clear that Brigid & I shared a similar vision for our wedding days – we both loved the same features at Paramount and wanted to have a laidback, enjoyable day filled with lots of memories with our closest friends and family. We ended up using several of the same vendors and Brigid actually asked if she could use one of the sketches I made of the cottages on their wedding invitation! It’s such a special feeling to work with clients that feel like kindred spirits. 🫶

After getting ready, Brigid and Dan met up at the row of evergreen trees at the top of the hill where they had an intimate First Look and shared private vows.

The panoramic views of the rolling hills and Ramapo Mountains are unbeatable and such a unique feature at Paramount Country Club.

While the weather held out just long enough for us to finish all of the portraits (thank goodness 🙏), thunderstorms rolled in right as guests started to arrive for the ceremony. After closely watching the weather radar and crossing fingers that there would be a dry spell long enough to hold the ceremony outdoors, it became clear that it wouldn’t be possible. At the last minute, the Paramount staff arranged a unique, non-traditional setup under the overhang at the entrance so that the wedding could still take place outside but all the guests would stay dry. It’s so clear that the Paramount staff will do anything to make sure their clients’ wedding wishes come true. 🫶

When Brigid accidentally “missed the turn” to walk down the aisle, instead of freaking out, they both laughed it off as she made a U-turn. A common theme throughout their ceremony remarks was that they both have had a “turning chaos into fun” spirit throughout their relationship anytime anything unexpected occured. In the short time I’ve known this couple, I can tell that’s definitely true. Such a great trait to carry throughout a long, lasting marriage. ❤️

As the rain came down, guests looked on from the overhang and the covered walkways and witnessed the couple tie the knot (a traditional Irish hand-fasting, actually!).

After they were pronounced husband and wife, everyone filed back into the clubhouse to enjoy all the delicious food stations.

Because their wedding was taking place on the day of the Kentucky Derby, the couple thought it would be fun to offer a Mint Julep signature drink that guests could sip as they watched the horse race. Congratulations “Sovereignty”!

The talented Silver Arrow Band kicked off the party over in the main ballroom.

The couple shared a father-daughter and mother-son dance, as well as a surprise grandmother-grandson dance.

Congratulations, Brigid & Dan!!
