A beautiful spring day, super photogenic couple, and cozy intimate reception – what more could a photographer want! This was such a great day from start to finish. Bianca and Garret have such great taste and planned a lovely, stress-free, beautiful wedding in some gorgeous locations.

Their ceremony was held at St. Therese Church in Cresskill. A ray of sunshine came through the windows right as they were saying their vows, like a spotlight shining onto the newlyweds. The stained glass detailing on the facade of the church added beautiful pops of color.

We made a stop at Skylands Manor in New Jersey Botanical Gardens to take some portraits. Garrett proposed to Bianca at this spot nearly two years ago so it was the perfect, full-circle moment.

The decor at Valley Rock Inn & Mountain Club was warm and inviting and the perfect setting for their intimate reception. Christa of “A Petal to Peddle” decked out the reception space with lots of calla lillies, delicate white flowers, and an abundance of candles. The way the room glowed as the night when on was so cozy. Guests enjoyed great food & great times.

Congratulations, Mr & Mrs Barretta!! It was such a pleasure working with you and such an honor shooting your day. Thank you for giving me an opportunity to whip out my old 1970’s Yashica TLR to play around with some film photography! As a perfectionist, it’s a bit out of my comfort zone to take “imperfect” shots, but I felt so inspired by your wedding and love how the blurry, grainy, gritty photos came out. Though they’re not crisp and perfect, they add to the mood of the full collection of photos and it’s a perfect analogy for wedding days and married life in general – some aspects are picture-perfect and others are more raw, genuine, and fleeting. <3
