When Jen & Mark’s big day had to be rescheduled because of COVID-19, they decided to move forward with an intimate backyard wedding with just their family members on their original date. With the help of their loving, supportive family, they still had a super memorable day with a live musical performance, a surprise convertible drive-around, a tented reception, and lawn games.
After getting dressed (in the same bedroom where her mom, her sister, and she once lived!), she had a first look with her father and made her way to the backyard for their intimate ceremony.
During their sand ceremony, Jen’s brother Sam sang a beautiful rendition of “I’ll Be”.
Immediately after their ceremony, Jen’s mom had arranged for their bridal party and closest friends and coworkers to surprise them with a distanced congratulations in the driveway. They got into the surprise “Just Married” convertible to drive around the neighborhood where TONS of friends and family and teachers and students cheered for them with applause, cowbells, banners, and even fireworks! Not even the rain or a global pandemic could stop so many of their friends from showing up to celebrate the new Mr & Mrs.
This might be one of my favorite cake toppers ever, made from one of their engagement photos – so fun!!
Congratulations, Jen & Mark!! Can’t wait til your big celebration next year!
