After photographing 250 couples’ weddings, I had my own wedding on Friday, October 28, 2022 at Paramount Country Club! The question I get asked most often is “how on earth did you pick your own wedding photographer??” Talk about “analysis paralysis”! After working in the industry since 2011, I have SO many talented photographer friends, […]

Every detail and every moment of Samantha & Michael’s wedding was beautiful, thoughtful, and memorable. Their spirits couldn’t be dampened by the pouring rain that came down all day long. Their romantic, modern wedding day started off by getting ready at the nearby historic Tarrytown House Estate, followed by a cozy indoor wedding ceremony and […]

The circumstances on Alyssa & Richie’s wedding day were “very 2020.” On top of being in the middle of a global pandemic, it rained the entire day, the bridge nearby was closed so the bride had to take a detour and arrived late, and they forgot to bring their marriage license. But everything worked out in the […]

Having gone to college with Ashley, it was an extra special honor to get to be a part of Ashley & Mike’s special day and to witness their stunning wedding on the eastern tip of the Hamptons in Montauk, NY. These high school sweethearts’ love story will make you believe in the resilience of true young love. They started dating back in […]

Lauren and Jack’s fall wedding at Whitby Castle was like a literal fairytale come true! Located in Westchester County in the Lower Hudson Valley, Whitby Castle was the perfect venue for Lauren & Jack’s fairtyale wedding. The weather was perfect for an outdoor ceremony on the lawn, with the epic castle facade as the backdrop. […]

Katie & Ricky got married at the beautiful Smith Farm Gardens in East Haddam, CT in an outdoor summer wedding ceremony, with a tented reception on the property. Their dog Brody even got to join for their wedding day! (Keep scrolling for the cutest bride-doggy first look!) I love shooting at Smith Farm Gardens! The […]

The Abbey Inn in Peekskill, NY was the perfect backdrop for Jackie & Cole’s modern summer wedding. Get the tissues ready! There were so many heartfelt moments on their wedding day. Jackie got ready with her ladies in Suite 101, the bridal suite, which connects to a private patio where she shared a First Look […]

The Rockleigh was the perfect setting for Jessica and Kevin’s glam summer wedding. Rather than emphasizing a certain color scheme, they opted for a timeless, luxurious, modern style, with the majority of their decor made up of glass, crystal, and mirrored decor. It came together so beautifully! I can’t tell if I got more “Rapunzel” […]

When the groom is a car collector, what better location for your wedding reception than in your own impressive car garage! After an intimate ceremony at their private residence, the newlyweds hosted an intimate Tuscan inspired dinner party, complete with a Dolce & Gelato espresso & gelato truck for dessert. Grace and Gavin had the most quintessential, epic NYC wedding, with a church ceremony at St Patrick’s Cathedral, photos in Central Park, and reception at New York Athletic Club. Grace and Gavin met and fell in love in New York City so it was important to them to highlight how special of a place NYC […]

It was such a pleasure photographing Brigid & Dan’s glowing smiles and working with their roll-with-the-punches spirit at their spring wedding at Paramount Country Club. Paramount holds a special place in my heart because it’s where I got married back in October 2022! During the planning process, it became clear that Brigid & I shared […]

I consider myself incredibly lucky to have fallen in love with a career that allows me to balance my personal life with my business on my own terms. While it definitely stinks that I don’t get a paid maternity leave like I would’ve at a corporate job, I’m very blessed to have the flexibility to […]

In the wedding industry, winter is often referred to as “slow season” but if you’re a wedding professional, you know it’s anything but slow. Winter is our opportunity to take care of all of the administrative tasks that we don’t have time to do during busy wedding season. January is an especially busy time […]

If your ceremony and reception are taking place in the same location, with no gap between the ceremony and cocktail hour, I highly recommend doing a First Look.
If your ceremony (typically at a church) and reception are in different locations, with a 1.5+ hour gap in between, I would recommend not having a First Look and taking most of the portraits after the ceremony instead.

Allison & Rob’s wedding day was a stunner from start to finish, with an intimate ceremony in the Diamond Ballroom, a lively reception in the Sweetgrass Pavilion, and portraits all over the beautiful Minerals Hotel grounds. I’m obsessed with Allison’s bejeweled braid – not to mention the beautiful stonework on the walls and mountain views […]

Imagine getting deployed to Poland five months before your wedding with no return date. That’s what this resilient couple went through, along with many obstacles that they always overcome. I’m so glad their wedding plans ended up being successful – thank you for your service, Matt! This couple is truly and inspiration and it was […]

Unlike all your other wedding expenses, your photography & video investment increases in value as the years go by and the memories start to fade. A video is a return ticket to a moment otherwise forgotten. We all know that wedding photography is a must. In the past, wedding videography has been seen as more of a “luxury”, but […]

Audio is such an important component of a wedding film – it’s literally half of the final product! I dedicate a large amount of time during post production to selecting music that sets the right mood and matches with the visuals. I put a lot of thought into piecing together audio from the reception speeches […]

Genuine, affectionate, loving, thoughtful, empathetic.. there aren’t enough adjectives to describe how great Christina and Dan are. Their friends & family are equally loving and so many tears of joy were shed the entire day (I lost count at five 😂). Watching Christina & Dan interact is like watching a real life love story. Their chemistry is […]

Every single detail & moment on Kylie & Katharine’s wedding day was noteworthy and heartfelt, from the double aisle set up for the ceremony so they could both walk down simultaneously, a specially curated list of songs for every member of the bridal party, to the hand selected cutlery and meaningful books at the tables, […]

Photographing Megan and Erik’s wedding felt extra special because 1) Megan and Erik feel like such kindred spirits, and 2) I got to shoot at my own wedding venue!! Paramount Country Club is my favorite venue (no surprise there) – you can’t beat the mountain views, beautiful stonework, fields of tall grasses, plus the food […]

The invention of Pinterest & Tik Tok has been both a blessing and a curse for wedding planning: it has provided an endless supply of inspiration and resources, yet it has created a tendency to copy rather than create, which tends to stifle true innovation. As a self-admitted perfectionist and overly obsessive planner, I […]

People have been joking for years that it must be so hard for Corrado to top all the proposals I’ve seen. Little did I know, he would trick me into shooting my own proposal photos at one of my favorite places: on top of a mountain. There was a rare once-in-a-lifetime sunrise eclipse that morning, so we decided to go on a hike to see the sunrise and have one of our usual mountaintop photoshoots. I set up my camera on a tripod, started the self-timer, ran into my spot, then Corrado dropped down on one knee and proposed, capturing it all on camera. I honestly couldn’t think of a more memorable or perfectly “us” proposal. Oh, and he proposed with three different [returnable] rings so I could decide exactly which options I liked before buying the “forever ring”. (Great job, Corrado!)

#LinPernilleGrooms – this post is for you! I’ve learned so much about menswear since becoming a wedding photographer. Photographing so many Groom Preps has taught me how to fold a pocket square, the difference between French cuffs and barrel cuffs, the different types of shoe lace styles, how to put on a boutonniere, how […]

After being engaged for over two years and having so many wrenches thrown in their wedding planning, I’m so happy for Alycia & Garret that they’re finally officially married! Although it wasn’t what they originally intended, their wedding turned out to be the most beautiful, cozy, winter wedding at Stone House at Stirling Ridge. […]
