My business turns 5 years old today!!
Though I’ve been a photographer since 2007 and shooting weddings since 2011, I officially decided to incorporate my business & start my LLC on April 16, 2013, when I was in my junior year of college.
Throughout these past five years, I’ve had the pleasure of shooting some incredible weddings, events, proposals, and portraits for the best clients I could’ve ever dreamed of.
As of yesterday, I’ve photographed a total of 98 weddings (so close to the big 100)!
I’ve shot in everything from barns to castles to mansions to vineyards to mountains to beaches..
.. with every single color scheme you could imagine..
.. in every season & in all kinds of weather.
I’ve seen so many pretty dresses..
all kinds of shoes..
details, florals, heirlooms, and handmade decor..
some really grand exits..
.. and tons of tear-jerking moments.
I’ve shot as far north as Poughkeepsie, as far south as Baltimore, and as far east as the Hamptons.
I’ve shot everything from 300-guest weddings to intimate backyard weddings.
I’ve been able to witness weddings of so many different styles & cultures, and witness so many unique traditions.
I’m constantly blown away & inspired by all the unique, clever, and thoughtful ideas that my couples incorporate into their wedding day to make their day special, meaningful, and uniquely their own.
Weddings are such a positive, high-energy day, and I’m so lucky to get to be surrounded by so much fun, laughter, & personality on a wedding day.
My work has been published in 13 different magazines & blogs:
I’ve even had the pleasure of officiating & photographing two weddings (I got ordained to officiate my sister’s wedding in 2016!), and I got to be the only witness (and even sign the marriage certificate) for a NYC elopement!
I’ve also had the pleasure to capture all the other important moments leading up to the wedding day, including proposals, showers, bachelorette parties, mehndis, dholkis, and rehearsal dinners.
.. eternalize family memories..
and take headshots for professionals of all types, both inside and outside of my home studio.
I’ve also photographed tons of corporate events, fundraisers, and red carpet events, and have even been able to photograph some celebrities like Ruben Studdard (the American Idol winner back in 2013), Eliza Dushku (from Bring It On and Buffy the Vampire Slayer), and model Christy Turlington and actress Meryl Streep!
Thank you to all the amazing second shooters who have helped me capture all these weddings..
and thank you for all the kind words throughout these years and for giving me the opportunity to do what I love every day. <3
It’s been an absolutely amazing 5 year journey and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store. Here’s to another 50 years!
