Not even a wardrobe malfunction during their first kiss or no-show ceremony musicians could make Cara & Brian frown on their wedding day. Their positive, radiant, carefree personalities shone through in every aspect of their wedding and made it an unforgettable day.
Hunter green was the perfect color scheme for their March wedding (on the weekend before St. Patrick’s Day!). Both Cara and Brian are Irish and wanted to incorporate some Celtic inspiration in their wedding.
I love this moment when Cara’s sister & maid of honor got teary-eyed when she saw Cara all made up in her veil!
After reading her heartfelt (and funny) letter from Brian, Cara got into her stunning, lacy wedding gown and headed over to the church for the ceremony.
Cara looked absolutely breathtaking in her dress from Cinderella Bridal!
Meanwhile, Brian got into his Dante Zeller Tuxedo by Sarno with his groomsmen & parents by his side.
After popping a bottle of champagne, the guys filed onto the party bus and headed over to the church.
Cara & Brian got married in their family church, CoCathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine in Freehold.
When the ceremony musicians didn’t show up, Cara & Brian stayed positive and didn’t let it dampen their spirits. One of their guests volunteered to play music into the microphone and another talented guest offered to sing.
When Cara’s sleeve popped off during their first kiss, they just laughed it off as another fun story to tell about their wedding day.
We headed over to the Asbury Park Boardwalk to take portraits with the newlyweds and their bridal party against the backdrop of the Convention Hall (which perfectly matched their color scheme!).
The day continued with Cara & Brian’s reception at Sterling Ballroom in Tinton Falls.
Mr. & Mrs. Colabella shared a tear-jerking first dance as a married couple, followed by a dance with her father & his mother and toasts from their Best Men, Maid of Honor, and Cara’s dad.
The dance floor opened and friends & family partied the night away.
As a play on the “Royal Wedding”, Cara & Brian got White Castle burgers as favors for all of their guests, as well as hand-rolled cigars made on the spot by The Cigar Guys.
Congratulations, Cara & Brian!!
