I got to capture one of my favorite things this weekend – a surprise proposal! After tons of planning & scheming, Austin proposed to his girlfriend (now fiancée!) Nicole on Friday night in Bryant Park in New York City, followed by a surprise celebration with all of her friends and family.
As a cover story, he told Nicole they would be meeting at a restaurant for dinner, but when the restaurant “didn’t have their reservation”, they would have to walk through Bryant Park to get to a different restaurant.
He led her to an open spot on the putting green, got down on one knee, and asked her to marry him!
Her reaction was a combination of laughter, smiles, and tears.
After revealing that I was there to capture the moment, he slipped the ring on her finger and we walked through the rest of the park to take some photos of the newly engaged couple!
They were all smiles as it sunk in that they were now engaged and could call each other their fiancés!
Raw emotion, genuine chemistry, and gorgeous bokeh – is there anything more a photographer could ask for??
Austin picked out a rose gold solitaire ring – isn’t it stunning?!
Congrats, Austin & Nicole! Enjoy your engagement!!
